Greetings! I joined MidwestDive because juls64 told me to (if she told me to jump in the lake I would probably do that too). I've been diving for 3 years, and I enjoy diving in freshwater. I'm a new DM, and I have a few other certs as well.

I enjoy pretty much all kinds of diving around here, although I haven't been diving too much lately, since I ripped the neckseal on my drysuit. I also dive with handicapped people through diveheart (http://www.diveheart.org). It's great fun- check it out.

Well I always invite people to join a board, then they do, then I can't whine and complain about them anymore......

I have not figured out where the beer is kept yet, but now that your here, I nominate you as "official buyer of the beer".....

DeepDiver Bob has already greeted you and he is "official pizza guy"....

I will be happy to remain official "pizza eater and beer drinker"!

Greetings, Do It Easy. "If ya can't do it right, at least do it easy."

You have a moral imperative to get that neck seal fixed and get back in the water. If it's a DUI, have it upgraded to a ZIP seal while it's in the shop so such a problem won't sideline you again.

Hope you'll come down and dive Southern IL or Southern MO with us some time.

Yeah, I'm working on the neck seal. I thought that I might try to do it myself. Instead, I'm going to send the suit in and make all the changes I wanted to make over the last year- rock boots and a new neck seal.

I've been diving wet lately and it freaks me out when I feel water on my back and hands- it feels like I've sprung a leak. The single tank is much easier on the back than doubles, but I have to remember not to shut the valve down in case of a free flow!

We are hoping he'll come down to Roubidoux with us when we do our Cavern class later this month. We need some adult supervision, but he seems to feel work related issues are more important.

I guess if we told him thats where we keep the beer!

I'm still trying to find a way to get down there that weekend, too.

I dove wet a couple of times this summer and kept poking myself in the chest. At first diving dry seemed like a big deal but now it feels like the most natural thing in the world and wet feels strange.

Conditions are excellent at RBD right now. This Saturday is our CDF Midwest Cave Divers' Social, so we'll be there diving, eating pizza, and hangin' out with other cave divers from around the midwest--expecting a couple to come up from Georgia and possibly Florida as well.
