Well,
HS Explorer showed up yesterday... I'll be diving it this weekend in Waukegan... With my Cochran also.... Cause usually the Explorer dies and goes back...

They told me they scrapped the whole thing cause it flooded. Well, The strap is definately the same. As is the face plate. Cause they are the one's I sent in. I can tell. The Serial number is also the same.... If that's what it is on the front...

I'm not betting on it workin.... But hey, they do have a nice new test on there website where they drive over one with a car... To bad they don't show it diving after that. I'm betting it flooded too... Or, some other malfunctions. I've had 4 malfunctions and only got to dive it 6 day's.. In almost 2 years....

Took them 2 months this time and last time to fix it... They quoted a week....

I'm thinking Customer service isn't there strong standing..

Let everyone know how it comes out...

Well, the computer actually made it to 50ft...

Worked and no flood... Shocking a Rebreather TRimix computer made the 50ft mark... I wanna hit Oronogo with it... Throw on some big duals and put it in Deco... See what happens then....

sounds like fun, but Oranago is too boring for me. I like to see something swimming below 10 foot other than divers.

LOL,

Only thing I like seeing underwater swimming is BIG and has Teeth.. LOL.. Otherwise it's just like being in a Quarry.... And, Quarries all look the same to me.. LOL.... I like Wrecks... And poking around in them....

But, Oronogo is deep and if you're trying out gear. And wanna try it deep. Oronogo is the place to do it.. LOL Probably not a fun dive.. But one that needs to be done...LOL

Until I know this piece of junk won't flood or die on me. My RB's are mothballed... I use it to monitor PO2. Along with another PO2 meter... Since I need 2, both have to work..

I'm still holding out for my VR3 to be replaced.

Did it Break too? I have heard bad things about both VR3 and HS explorers..

I had heard HS's were fixed 2 years ago.. They weren't accurate about fixed though.... Still having problems with the cases flooding.. Capacitors that turn into resistors and eat $10 batteries... Most people I hear from have had to return the HS at least 3 times to get them to work right.... Pretty bad product in my opinion... I don't pay $1500 to be a Beta Tester... But want CCR and Helium.. They're the only real game in town...

Have you dove your VR3 with trimix? I heard the alogrythm was a little conservative... Which was why I wanted the HS.... 2 hour deco on a VR3 being 1.5hr Deco on HS... And feeling fine getting out on both.... I like conservative... But not by that big of margin...

One other thing. HS is at least in the states.....
