So far we have 6 for this weekends offical meet & greet:

Moi
steve2281
MgicTwinger
Trever

with the latter two bringing a guest each.

Who else is going to make it?

My plan is to drive down Friday evening and stay overnight. I'll be there when the quarry opens so I can setup the MWD banner (we should have a pavillion reserved.) I'll be driving back Saturday night though I may stop if it's too late.

Final descision on food was to just bring your own or do the on site BBQ. (Or was Bob going to have pizza delivered?)

I'll be staying at the Super 8. If anyone in STL wants to share a ride or anyone else wants to share the room, let me know.

James

I know one other guy that will be there (Dennis). He's been on some of this years' Lake Michigan trips, so several of you know him.

I've given him the website and tried to encourage him to take a look. He's got a computer but doesn't spend much time on it. He'll be there Sat.

I'll be there. Will also be helping with an Advanced OW class that day, but that won't take much time.

Talk about eating my words! Turns out I'll be working with the OW class rather than the Advanced OW this weekend, so I'll be diving wet half the weekend. The shallow water at Mermet right now is an "icky warm" 82 F--I have done that dry, but it gets a little sweaty.

See y'all there,

We had fun. Here's a pic of me and James (on the left). I think he's trying not to comment on my hair, fashion statement, and generally non-PC attitude.

Steve, diving was about the same on Sunday. I quit after two dives becdause of reg problems. I should probably have it serviced more often than every 5 years.

Rick, you suck.

Sunday was good. Once finished with the students, we did an 80-minute around-the-quarry dive in search of some spoonbills. Great dive, but no sitings.

Monday was even better; a nice deep dive, barely short of going into deco on the computer. Followed up by a shallower S&R dive in an attempt to locate a weight dropped while adding weight to students on Saturday.

Excellent weekend! And good to meet some of you for the first time, and others once again.
