Baby shampoo & warm water for neoprene, Listerene for inside BC bladders, a pee valve for other bladders.

Uhhh - Rinse?

I dive fresh water... Whats to rinse.... Gloves and hood are stuffed into fins, wrapped by mask. Wing and regs stay mounted on the doubles in the truck. Drysuit and underwear get hung up to dry/air out.

And when I go someplace warm and dive saltwater - my first dive back is a good rinse... :)

I use Simple Green inside the bladder. Is baby shampoo enough to get rid of the funk?

Depends how funky. That's all I ever use and you've smelled me.

you've smelled me.

yes we have.

I still say you are the most picky diver I have ever dove with. Not only do you want your dry suit zipped up, but you also want your air turned on...geeez....whats next? A clean, fog free mask?

That I've got: spit is free.

When necessary, I dive wet. Since this usually means wet on the inside as well as out (I'm not a liar), there is some smell to remove after a weekend of diving.

I put the wetsuit, inside out, into the wash machine and let it soak for about 30 minutes with a few ounces of mild quaternary disinfecting cleaner instead of soap. Then run it through the rinse and spin cycles.

I seem to remember some folks using Woolite as a wetsuit shampoo....

I think just about anything mild will work.

33 gallon trash can in the garage works great. The gear goes in for a quick dip just to rinse the Midwest funk off it. A couple of times a year I dump in a cap full of mouthwash and a cap full in the BC. Hang it all up to dry and repack the following week, if I don't get it wet again.
