Hello, I'm from Iowa & was just finished my OW certification dives in May. My wife was certified about 5 years ago for a trip to cozemel, however hasen't done any diving since. She talked me into getting certified so we could dive together and I'm very glad I did, it is without a doubt the most fun thing I have ever done. This seems like a good site & I look forward to learning from all of you.

Welcome to the board Dave! I'm sure you and your wife will have lots of fun diving together. After 5 years is she planning on doing a review?

She did her review when I got my certification. In fact we went diving at Wazee lake in WI this last weekend.

Welcome to the society.

Diving with my wife is quickly becomming one of our favorite pastimes. Next time you come up to Wazee let us know and we'll try to meet you. We dove off the beach Saturday afternoon...it was sunny when we started and when we got back the beach was cleared off and it was hailing...so much for grilling out! Of course by the time we were packed up the rain had stopped and the sun came out.

Will do M&P+4. We dove off the south boat ramp on Saturday, mostly because that is where I did my cert dives & this was our first experience on our own. My wife was having some trouble with her ears so we never made it below 20 ft, which didn't bother me because there were lots of fish between 10 & 20 ft & I'm still trying to get the hang of everything, I suppose it's like the first few times you drive a manual transmission, you are trying to think about so many things at the same time it can be a little overwhelming at times.

We have spent the last three trips above 20 feet. Below is just a bunch of really cold rocks! The visibility is great though and I would like to explore a little deeper than 60 feet.

Welcome to the board! You'll find this is a great site for midwest diving info. My husband and I both dive, we work to pay for our dive trips!
