Question...when diving doubles and a dry suit, does it matter which side you run your dry suit hose from? Assuming I am not diving argon. Logically, I would assume it would come from behind me on my left side, but I wasnt sure if that is preference or standard.

Thanks in advance.

Typically, you run your LP inflator hose from behind your right sholder to your wing. Your drysuit inflator hose runs from behind your left shoulder.
This way if either regulator needs to be shut down during the dive you still have buoyancy control.

A little elaboration on the point made by 'theskull'.

There is one school of thought, that says the right post is for primary functions. The left post serves all backup functions (due to potential roll-off).

Right Post - Primary Reg, Wing
Left Post - Bungied Backup, Drysuit, SPG.

How you route your hose is up to you. (Geesh - hope the mods are better over here - I coulda gotten banned for using that phrase someplace else <G>...)
Anywaz - I prefer to have the hose tucked under my left arm, through the harness up to the inflation valve.

For further elucidation on that "one school of thought" you can find all the specifics at http://www.wkpp.org/equipment.htm . While I am not a subscriber to the "this one answer is the solution to every problem for every dive and every diver", I find the information posted here invaluable for a point of departure. When in doubt I try it their way first. When not in doubt I try it their way first anyway. But where I end up is often just a little bit different than what is prescribed (my opinion--some of "them" would say I'm way off course--and I relish that distinction). LOL!

thank you for the input. Just when I thought I had all my hose routing taken care of, I had to go and buy a dry suit...

and yes..be afraid of the mods here...be very...very afraid.

So . . . we shouldn't discuss the hose routing of the P-valve? LOL

I'm similar to TS in that I look to the DIR stuff first and then make up my own mind. DIR is a perfectly legitimate subject here. It's when people get close minded and start throwing around terms like lemming and stroke that the problems start.

Thankfully we have a good group here and I don't expect to see that kind of stuff anytime soon.

Hear hear! So far we do have a very civil group. And every one of them is fully entitled to my opinions. :)
