Conditions were favorable this weekend at Mermet. Hot sunny days. 80 F at surface, 70 F to 14 ft., 55 F down to 50 ft. and at the nose of the plane. As usual, 42 F bottom temp. Viz was somewhat poor (10 ft.) above 30 ft., quite good (20 ft.) below 40 ft., and about 30 ft. viz down in the cold zone.
Made successful deep S&R dives for the items dropped by our students--weight belt, fin, light, retrieved a mask dropped by another group's students. And sacrificed another student's weight pouch to the depth gods.

Oct 21-23 - Bull Shoals Houseboat Trip, Bull Shoals AR. The flexibility of this trip allows you to arrive Friday in the early eve and get a couple Friday night dives in, arrive Friday night or Saturday early AM and dive for the remainder of the weekend, and occasionally a few folks will stay over Sunday night to get another couple night dives and a Monday morning dive before returning home from a 3-day weekend.
