Brick Yard Quarry - St. Elmo, IL

Has anyone been to Brickyard Quarry in St. Elmo IL. Their web site does not give very many details on the quarry, it looks like it would be worth trying plus it's only an hour away.

Uh, yeah.

It is mainly used as a training location for Public Safety Divers. That's because it is shallow, coldish, and very very silty. The vis is not 0, but it's close.

There are a couple junker cars with guide lines running between them.

The people who run it are not on-site, but are very nice and will meet you there to let you in if you arrange to dive there. It is so close, and yet I have made only 1 trip there.
