Hey everyone, it has been so quiet here. I hope everyone is having a great weekend - wet here but just because of the RAIN. Rain, Rain go away - come again in July when we will need you.

Well I was quiet because I finally got to dive again. While my hubby and son went downtown to Bluesfest, my daughter and I went and dove at Haigh Quarry Sat. It was great weather and we had a nice time. The water was nice (above the thermocline). We leave for the Keys next week, and I wanted to get her in the water before we went. It turned out to be a wonderful day.

I was down at Table Rock. Had some great dives at the dam. Water temp was about 50 degrees at 100 feet. Vis, once you got away from the classes, was around 30 foot. And for the first time, I went down at finally touched the dam. Ah, minor achievments in life that mean so much.

All the pages keep urging a first post on the site so I thought I would start here. And I see it is quiet if the last post was a few months ago.
Just getting back into diving after a few years off and ready to get wet.

I had a great time diving with Enterprise Marine out of Waukegan. Weather was perfect and the viz was amazing. We did two dives each on the "Lady Elgin", and excursion boat that went down in 1863 (how cool is that!) and the huge "Straits of Macinac" off Chitown.
The best part was when the DM spotted something as we went between sites, marked it, and we returned to find an undiscovered wreck: three paddlewheels on and axle.
Enterprise is a fine op, Capt. Dale and his partner DM Dave took good care of a mixed bag of divers. The boat is roomy and slow, so the travel times can be long, but Dale brings subs for everyone. We were out for all four dives without returning to port.

wow...an undiscovered wreck. That is the kind of things dreams are made of. I would LOVE to discover a wreck.
