My buddy and I dove at Gilboa today for the first time this year. The water was clearer than I have ever seen it. Vis was probably 50' in some areas even with lots of divers in the water. It was also warmer than it was last fall. I had about 55 deg at 65'.
Lots of big trout and the paddlefish were even out. They have their Dog Days event next weekend if anyone is looking for a place to dive. The campsites and facilities were very good. They put in some new floating platforms at the main boardwalk/dock entry point to make more room for getting in/out of the water.
I had my right knee replaced six weeks ago and was somewhat leery of going today, but I had no trouble what-so ever. It was easer to get up and down the access points than it has been in years. Hope to see some of you out there.
