Hello everyone. While I now live in SE Florida, I was born and raised in the Midwest. I'm originally from Wisconsin, and I did most of my schooling while living in Kansas City, MO and KS. I am based in Memphis with the airline, hence the handle, mempilot. I grew up on the water, and the transition into diving was a natual one. I believe in continuing eduction as it relates to diving and experience.

Most of my diving is done in the ocean, but I look forward to diving the Great Lakes and local lakes in the Kansas City area. I have access to the water via my families real estate in Escanaba, MI and a local lake in KC.

My dive experience ranges from lake, shallow reef, deep wall, to deep wreck penetration. I'm interested in doing full cave training in the future, but my immediate plans include a crossover to closed circuit rebreather.

If anyone is ever headed down to the Miami/Lauderdale/Keys area to do some diving and needs a buddy or guide, give me a shout. :)

Based in Memphis but dive in Ft. Lauderdale? Where do you keep your gear?

Will contact you if I head down that way. Let me know if you get the cave cert and need a buddy some time in N FL or in MO.

Why no show up some time and dive Table Rock or Oronogo with us?

Welcome Mempilot! I recognize your handle from the Scubaboard. It's pretty laid back over here; make yourself at home. steve

Welcome - Wish I spent more time in SE Florida. I love diving in the Boynton Beach area. I like it much better than the Keys as there are more turtles and more fish life. I dive with Dive Charter International whenever I'm down there. A great dive operator.

Based in Memphis but dive in Ft. Lauderdale? Where do you keep your gear? I live in Ft. Lauderdale, but I have to commute to Memphis to start my trips. Before a trip starts, I have to get up at 4am eastern at home in Lauderdale to pick up my aircraft in Memphis at around 9:30am central. That 45 minute drive doesn't sound so bad now! LOL

Will contact you if I head down that way. Let me know if you get the cave cert and need a buddy some time in N FL or in MO.

I'll take you up on the lake diving. Cave will be down the road a bit. I'm planning on doing CCR training this fall.

Most defineatly! The Pack is my team in the NFC, and I'm also a Chief's fan from my time spent in KC.

I just spent a long overnight in Madison a couple of nights ago. I miss State Street!
