Ok it feels like Summer is here (thank goodness) & vacations are near - what are some of your favorite books or authors for a lazy day on the beach or for that SI?

Mine has to be Carl Hiaasen - all his stories are based in the Flordia Keys and they have a great group of characters - be sure and look for Skink.

HMMM My favorite Author is Jackie Collins but pretty much Ill read anything..... We have some cool dive books (besides class manuals) but for a lazy day at the beach anything goes...... I have a feeling on our vacations this year there will be no lazy days at the beach though---

I'm not much of a reader.

I used to really get into Lawrence Sanders. The Deadly Sin series, the McNally Series, the rest as well. I like a lot of authors, but he was one with lots of books that I seemed to just soak up, one after another.

Actually, 2 trips ago when going to Coz, we were staying at a place with no ammenities so I wanted to take a lot of books. I'd been getting pressure from my nephew to read the Harry Potter books so I got the box set and took it with me. Finished them all on the trip.

I find myself reading more magazines these days than books. On SI's, if I'm reading, it is usually Scuba Diving, Dive Training, Alert Diver, etc.
