View Full Version : Whew!! We did it!

Valerie aka Swimming Horse and I did our Open Water Cert this weekend. YEAH :woohoo: , I am SOOO glad that is done. Bottom water temp was 51 and 52 on the two days we dove, BURRRRR, around 24 feet. Vis was 14-15 feet before we mucked it up at the bottom. Now we have the summer to work on those 'skills' that are less than perfect. :)

Yeah, mom was just happy to have made it through the weekend. Val had a bit of a problem with suiting up the first day and mom was wiped out by the time she was ready. Add to that two nights of little sleep for mom and Val breaking her dad's mask on the boat (he had to stay on the boat for the two dives :( ) and that is a small picture of our weekend.

Lyle says that it was as bad as it will probably every be. I can't wait to dive though, I am very excited to get in the water and go at my pace!!

p.s. Valerie also got to see a fish which changed her whole outlook for the weekend. We were glad she was that excited because it had been a tough weekend for her.
