Well, this thing keeps buggin me to make a post, so i will. i do have a question...where is a good place in minneapolis to get certified? I have some big trips coming up, so i would like to get certified soon.

I ran into a dive instructor from the Minneapolis area a couple of weeks ago at Wazee but didn't catch what shop he was from.

I don't have a recommendation for you, as I am unfamiliar with any dive shops in the area. I do, however, have an idea. Check-out the different agency web-sites.

to find shops/schools close to you. Then spend a few minutes - probably more - getting to know them. It will probably be pretty easy to tell which feels "right" and which don't.

Welcome to the board. An acquaintance at work drove all the way up to Minneapolis to use Going Under Dive Center www.goingunder.net for his rebreather training. He was happy with them. (He is still alive, so thats something in their favor !;)) This is pretty much a second hand recommendation, but perhaps its a starting point for you.
