You say that like it's a fun thing.

He does, doesn't he?

I always thought you fool around with something til you figure it out. Reading the instructions is cheating, isn't it?

There is a big disclaimer on the front cover that says "Failure to read and understand this instruction manuel in full may result in mis-use of the equipment, injury or even death."

I am not ready to meet my maker yet, so I am reading. And it is a good thing, because this is going to take some getting use to. I cant even figure out the stupid wrist strap. Now THAT is a tech computer.

Being a computer geek myself I almost never read manuals. I do read dive computer manuals for 2 reasons:

1. Screwups can be fatal
2. Due to the tiny screen, the interfaces are rarely intuitive

I also read manuals for assembling KD furnature. Hat's off to anyone who can get a bundle of 20 boards and 60 screws and turn it into a computer desk without a manual...

so far, I have been able to change the time and date to be correct, and turn the screen upside down, and then back again.

Still working on everything else.

That's all you need to know.

okay, still havent had a chance to dive this yet. Had some minor equipment problems this weekend, so didnt dive it yet. I might be able to dive it this weekend, but not very much, and not very deep(I will be in Rolla.)But hopefully the next month or so after that, I will be able to take it deep and really get to learn it more extensivly. I also got a few pointers from one of the instructors at my LDS that dives one, that kind of help is priceless, in my opinion.

I think the first thing I notice about this computer, is how heavy it is. Wow. I may need to attach a 2 pound weight to my other arm just to counterbalance this one.

Oh, that's gonna cost you Bob!

Seriously though, the minimum age here is 13. Assume you are talking to a 13 year old. We actually allow any age, but under 13 the parents have to sign a COPPA statement which basicly says, it's ok for their child to see stuff sutable for a 13 year old.
