For those of you that was wet this weekend, or dry while diving, how was your dives and water?

I was working my first official OW class as a DM. It was pretty class. Just had a few rough moments, but they overcame and accomplished the intended goal.

We was at Mermet Springs. Surface temp was mid 60's, dropped to low 60's maybe high 50s at the 20 foot platforms, and then just got cold from there. My suit flooded as usual, but the water wasnt as cold, so that was no big deal. Vis wasnt very good from the start, and only got worse as the weekend went on. I heard of one guy who almost swam face first into the 727 because he didnt see it. I think that might have been a slight stretch, but who knows.

Table Rock Dam: surface 60*, 66ft was 53* and 180 ft. (not me) was 36*. We saw one other diver who was getting out when we got there. The wind was howling across the lake right into the south shore. The entire lake was covered in whitecaps and it was almost like making a surf entry in Cancun! Vis was a decent 15 ft. or so after you got away from where the waves were stirring things up. My first dive with my new sidemount went really well. Managing two systems is not a big deal but I do have some hose routing issues to work out still because it was too rough to do it Sat.
