What kind of computer do you use? What do you like and dislike about it?

I use an Oceanic VT-PRO.
Likes:
Big easy to read display.
Nice size profile.
Great customer service.
Not Suunto conservative.
Dislikes:
No mulitgas support.
Not so great quality control, this is my third (the first two were replaced without question by the factory).

I have a Uwatec Pro Nitrox - love it BUT, the only draw back is I have to download it into my memo-mouse after every other dive to be able to keep all the info.
I have a second one a Cochran Commander (that I won at Sea Space) that I just had up graded to Nitrox. Haven't used it yet - I will try it out this weekend.
Hey Bob what do you use?

Aeris 750GT main with an AWAC II (1st computer) as a backup in my BC pocket. I like the hoseless AI and it is easy to read with my old eyes. Backup batteries were very expensive. Radio Shack locally or any other store I called had even heard of a 1/2AA battery. Had to order them from a dive shop in Texas as any Aeris dealer can get them. Fortunately the originals are still going strong after two years.

I really like the SUUNTO computers in spite of (and partly because of) how conservative they are. Best thing is that they are very user-friendly to set up, read, and use. Started with the Mosquito, upgraded to the VyTec when I started multi-gas deco diving. Also own a SUUNTO D3 for my back-up bottom-timer (since the Mosquito unfortunately will not operate in Gauge mode.

I use the Air Z Nitrox. l I love not having the hose.
The only thing I dont like is I have to download the information to get water temperature.

Funny you asked...I'm looking to buy one soon but the research is mind boggeling. There is so much out there and most of the reviews are good.
I would like to get an air integrated unit, and until recently thought a console set up would be what I would prefer. Now I am leaning towards a wrist mount. The watch types seem OK but are a little on the small side and I can't imagine trying to operate them with gloves on.
I've researched the Wisdom and some of the Suunto computers. Today's model of choice is the Vytec. It has way more features than I need now but I am a 'too much is just right' kind of guy. I only want to buy once and don't want to have to worry about upgrading later.
I will have to check out some of the other models that come up in this thread as well.

I have a cobra, which is easy to use, easy to read, nitrox compatible, and it still has all the info from every dive I have done, including pool work! I'm not sure how many dives it holds, but it is more than 90!

I use a Mares M1 RGBM console w/SPG. Does nitrox, tells me what I need to know, good bang for the buck.

I have an Uwatec Pro Nitrox....I love it.....no downside, easy to use and you don't have to do anything to it to dive or during a dive.
I also have an Uwatec Smart Com console. It is great...the air consumption indicator is pretty cool. It's operation is the same as the Pro Nitrox...easy and it shows the temp all the time. Downside is the quick disconnect. I have had a lot of trouble with it. SP is allegedly working on it. It may just be bad o-rings but it is still a major pain!
