I am surious if anyone has tried neoprene seals. seems to me that they might be a little more comfortable than latex, but I dont think they would seal as good. Does anyone have an opinions or knowledge of this?

I have a Bare CD4 with neoprene neck seal & a Bare Nex Gen with latex neck seal. I definitely like the latex seal better.

When I first tried the CD4 in the pool, I would get a leak when I turned my head even a little so I purchased an "Appolo" neck seal & that stopped the leaking around the neck but it's a pain to fold over the neoprene & mate it next to the "Appolo" seal. If I keep the CD4, I'm going to have a latex seal put on.

i prefer my neoprene seal by far. they are much tougher and tear resistant and warmer. i used my brothers shell suit that has latex seals a few times and my neck got cold every time. granted they do seal better but if they tear when you are donning the suit then your day of diving is over.
