Made my way down to RBD today with newly certified cave buddy David. we made three short dives there, checking out the main line down to the drop off, and the jump circuit. Vis was 15-20 foot, and the flow was a little annoying in the basin, but no issues getting in and barely even noticed anything once inside. Lots of locals out in force with all the normal questions. Also, had some bridge jumpers jumping into the basin. 2 of them jumped in right as I was starting to exit the cave. Luckily I stopped until I knew they was done, then came out.

I just downloaded my dives from last weekend, and it appears I was getting roughly 64 degrees in the system last weekend. Up from the usual 55-58 that I remember. Time to dig out the shorty..okay, maybe just my 5 mil.

I did my first wetsuit dive in four years in Mermet the other weekend, and I had to thumb the dive on the way down to the 85' platform. That hooded vest just isn't what I remember. I forgot what its like.

I'm just spoiled by my drusuit, 12mm hood, and 400G undies.

I'm just spoiled by my drusuit, 12mm hood, and 400G undies.

My dry suit would be flooded before I even got to the water if I tried diving it when its this hot out.

Scububa & I dived with David on Saturday in RBD. Had a great time, doing 2 dives that included poking into the lower tunnel, carrying and deploying stages, and making jumps.

Today Scububa & I went it alone back to the Big Room. Dive went according to plan, although I didn't make multiple stages in side mount look easy.

Big thanks to beperkins and his 2 buddies who carried all our stages out of the spring pool for us at the end of our dive!! You rule!

And, running the reel for us. They definitely ROCK!

It was a great day and great quality dives.

Ben and crew...looking forward to returning the favor someday.

And, Phil, thanks for the inflation bottle. I left it in the Big Room for you to pick up :-)
