How well do you keep your log books?

I am thinking about keeping 3 different log books.
1 for my fun dives, 1 for my classes that I work, and another one for technical diving.

Certainly a good idea, and I know folks who do it that way. I just keep all mine in 1 book, although I do use tech pages for the tech dives so I can log how much of each gas was used and what the deco schedule was.

I use one book, but like TS said I don't use the standard pages. I get my pages from http://www.dive-logs.com (http://www.dive-logs.com/) and use the right page for the dive. He does a good job and will even do some customizations. Here's an example of his "condensed" instructor log:

I also use one book. It has 4 different kinds of pages in it and I'm now making my own on MS Word. Am going to have to start a new one pretty soon since it's getting hard to zip this one.

Is your computerized version taken from your dive computer?

Good question Bob - I hadn't thought about different pages for different types of dives - ie class, fun, tech. I will have to look into that when we do a Ranger trip.

No. I used to download profiles but ultimatly it just became way too much hassle. I use SharkPoint (http://www.dreamdives.org/en/index.htm), and while it can import data from some computers I don't bother.

P.S. I have to warn you that if you click the link this site uses a popular java script to prevent you from copying anything from the web page. It does so by repeatedly copying empty data to your clipboard. Sites that run this don't usually realize that the script is illegal and can destroy data, i.e. anything you already had on your clipboard, so if you visit, make sure there is nothing important in there :D.
