Hey all. Joined the forum a few days ago. Wanted to introduce myself. I'm from Central Illinois and DON'T yet have a dive buddy in the area. I'm a young retired Navy Seabee (41). I am a Parole Agent for the IL. Dept. of Corrections. I learned to dive in Guam in 2004 while there for a month with the Navy. I am very interested in obtaining my Wreck and Deep diving certification. I want to dive the Great Lakes wrecks.

Hi - and welcome to the Board. Terry & I want to do some Great Lake diving also. We might have to look into putting together a MidwestDive.com Great Lakes trip

I do my drysuit class Tuesday, pool Thursday, and OW Saturday. I plan to buy a suit before long so I'll be ready to hit the lakes...

You should contact Mermet Springs, www.mermetsprings.com (http://www.mermetsprings.com) , just north of Metropolis, IL. Glen Faith is the owner, and he and many of his customers are also IL State Police, Corrections, etc. Glen can set you up with a buddy any weekend at his site, which is one of my favorites.
