May 29-30 Fun Diving Pennyroyal

All are welcome to join the Fun Diving Club of Y-Kiki Divers for our excursion to Pennyroyal this weekend in Hopkinsville, KY.

No classes planned, just diving for fun -- sweet!

Great conditions here -- 15-25 ft vis in most parts of the quarry. 60 F down to 20 ft., 48 below, and 42 F in the deep.

Total of 9 divers participated. The quarry was well-attended but not crowded. Found an excellent pocket of 40 ft. visibility at the "Red Eye" attraction at 95 ft. depth.

Pennyroyal staff was very friendly and accommodating, and they have expanded the number of pavilions and updated their compressor for customer convenience.

Do they have on site camping there?

Yes they do, 'buba. They are also only 3 miles away from a number of hotels. The Best Western gives a diver discount--$69/night.

Are the compressors Nirox/Air friendly?

Yes they are. Nitrox is also available.
