Well it is a littel quiet around here tonight, so I thought I'd let everbody know about a new feature that will be live in a day or so.
We'll be adding an interactive map to the dive site database. You'll be able to zoom/pan around a map of the US and it's territories and see what dive sites are in what areas.
It's all based on the existing dive site database so get to adding your favorite sites! I do have one request, since the map is based on lat/lon coordinates. Please try your best to include these when you add a site.
Don't have the coordinates for your site? It's easy enough to get if you have an address. Just take the following steps:
1. Go to http://terraserver.microsoft.com/
2. Enter the address of the site and hit Go
3. Select Arial Photo.
4. The lat/lon will be listed on the left hand side.
Not only will these coordinates dive the new mapping system, but they also make a satelite photo and topo map appear on the dive site page.
