Spring lake conditions?

What are the lake conditions in march/april. I would like to make a spring dive trip down to the lake. Want to make sure il be ok in a 7mm.

It will be bloody cold. 7mm should be plenty in the water (with hood and gloves) as long as you either pick a temperate weekend or have some nearby shelter to warm up in between dives.

Sounds fun, I hear that the spring is some of the best diving on the lake.

Right now TBL has 39* and that was at depth about 35 foot with 15+ of vis in a cove.

Al depends on what kind of weather we have and how the lake starts to warm up but I used to and know many that still do wear a 7mm suit when diving in the spring. They will even have a warm thing of water to pour in the suit before they get in and to keep gloves and hoods in.

Thats really cold!! I would like the water temp to be at least 55-60 :(

Oh, by April, it'll be up to 41 deg! :)

Looked at my log book...
in April 2005, I have 51 deg at 105 ft. at Norfork (Normally pretty high correlation, in my experience)
in Feb 2007, I have 44 deg at 75 - 100 ft. at TRL (Early Feb)
in May 2007, I have 46 deg at 90 - 120 ft. at TRL (Early May)
in Mar 2009, I have 50 deg at 80 ft. at Beaver (Late Mar and I have no idea of Beaver / TRL correlation)

I too would like to do Kimberling City Bridge this year. I have some free weekends in March and April, maybe we can work something out...

Although I have some classes that I want to take too.

After April my schedule is crazy for a while...

That is also my problem, I own a lawn equipment dealership and we tend to get a little busy that time of year ;). I allways just have to make myself leave and get a break from the grind. I was thinking it will have to be late march or early april. May is just not possible, nor is june july aug or sept :eek:. Anyone want to buy a lawn equipment dealership? jk!

Well for me personally in March I am good every weekend except for the 6th and 7th.

April the only bad weekend for me is 17th and 18th.

Who wants to try to get together some time soon...
