The Boeing Scuba club sponsors an inexpensive weekend at Bull Shoals every year. The price is right, but we are down on interest this summer. It's a pretty laid back group. Lots of folks show up and just hang out on the surface. Let me know if anyone is interested. Here are some details:
To add a little relaxation to the summer, we will be renting a couple of 50-ft air-conditioned houseboats July 17-19 on Bull Shoals Lake. The houseboat trips have been a great part of our annual diving activities. It's just like going on a Caribbean live-aboard dive trip. You can dive about as often or as little as you like. Night dives are also very popular.
The cost should about $200 per person. This includes gas for the boats and a smaller boat to shuttle tanks. The boats are advertised at 16 person boats, but as divers with lots of stuff, we limit it to 10 people per boat. The cost may come down if we get enough people.
It’s time to start thinking about July, sometimes the boats get reserved quickly (one boat is already full). We will be collecting a $65 deposit for each person at the March Meeting. If you are interested, call Gary at 314-234-7521, or reply to this post.
