Will be diving Mermet this weekend. Am assisting an OW class with a bunch of HS students, so we have a full agenda, but will certainly squeeze in a couple fun dives on Sunday if not on Saturday eve.

Hope to see some of you there.

any chance of dives Friday night, or are you coming down Sat morning? I am playing it by ear right as, depending on the weather. I would like to camp.

I won't be there in time for a Friday night dive, but I know that Jason is planning one--he and Mike intend to camp as well.

I intend to do my version of camping--The Metropolis Inn. (If there's no hot tub, it's camping!)

Conditions are markedly improved at Mermet from my last visit. Visibility is up to 5-7 ft. in the shallow water, and temp is 57 F.

Deep water vis is quite excellent--finally got down there this afternoon after a long weekend of OW cert dives with HS students. Vis below 50 ft. deep is 15-30 ft., getting better the deeper we went. From 80 down to 110 it was beautiful, clear, and dark! And the usual 42 F. (Very comfy with drysuit and dry gloves, which we all had for that dive.)

BTW, when a HS student surfaces from a training dive and exclaims, "That was sick!" -- it turns out that is a good thing.
