It's been over 4 years since Lloyd and I have been to Cozumel. All I can say is this trip has been one the best we've ever had here. The weather has been perfect, the currents not too bad, and we've seen a little bit of everything. On Wednesday at Cedral wall we saw so many turtles we lost count. Hawksbill, green, all different sizes including a baby that visited Lloyd and I and Vollrath, our Divemaster, on our safety stop then surfaced with us. We've seen a spotted eagle ray, free swimming nurse sharks, big groupers, several splendid toadfish, huge scrawled filefish, a seahorse, french angelfish that are the size of very large dinner plates, queen angels of all sizes, barracuda, hogfish, and much more. Sometimes you don't know where to look there's so much to see.

We went diving with Deep Blue and we loved the 6 pack boats. It's Lloyd and I, our friends Tom and Anna, and two gentleman from Seattle. No crowding, with only 6 divers it's so easy to keep track of the group, it's been wonderful. We're staying at a condo at El Cantil. I highly recommend this place. It's huge and very nice, marble floors, marble countertops in the kitchen, walking distance into town, right across the street from Chedraui (Mexico's version of Super Wal-Mart), has a boat dock, rinse tank, and dive lockers onsite. There's even a hot tub on our balcony for after dive relaxing.

Today we're renting a car and going over to the east side of the island. Not sure if airfares are still low but if you have the chance to book a trip to Cozumel, do it!

Sounds like a great time. Let us know how the "other" side of the Island is now. When we were there I found it really amazing how things were aka no electricity.

That sounds great! My hubby and I will keep your dive shop/ resort in mind as one day we plan to return to Cozmel. Glad to hear there are lots of turtles swimming around!
