Made a single day venture down to mermet yesterday. Dive 1 was suppose to be to the rock crusher, but when doing the bubble check, my buddy said I had a minor leak coming from my left post. I just had my regs serviced, so I didnt want to do anything too extreme. So we decided to tour the inner wall, and come up by the nose of the 727, and back to the platforms. When we got to the bus, I checked out my leak in the mirror, and realized me and my buddy have a very different opinion on what a "minor" leak is. The only reason I didnt call the dive on the initial bubble check was because I also had a stage with me that I could have bailed to in the even something major went wrong. After getting out of the water, I took my first stage off, and saw a little debris on the o-ring. I cleaned it off, ans passed the bubble check on dive number 2. Dive number 2 we dropped down from the deep platform to the bottom, and swam out to the rock crusher, thenmade our way back. This was my first trip to the rock crusher this year, and there seemed to be a lot more trees along the wall on bottom, I am assuming from the ice storm they has earlier this year. Vis was about 20 foot below 50 foot. Still pretty cloudy in the shallows. I didnt notice a big difference in water temps either. Should start warming up soon though.

There was quite a few classes going on. I saw some OW, dry suit and Terry Flynn was doing a DSAT class as well.

Sounds like a nice couple of dives. I need to get back over to Mermet. I have not been there since our get together in '07. Last year was just too busy to get over there. Thanks for sharing, Bob.
