Went out to the dive stop today, just because I had an invite. I wanted to play a little more with the X, too, so I went. We only did one dive, max depth 53 feet for 45 minutes. Vis was average 15 foot, maybe a little more in some places. I saw more dead fish than I did live ones, not sure what that means. The most interesting part of the dive was getting out, on a rock, there was these little pieces of bark, it appeared. I didnt think anything of them at first, but when we looked closer, we noticed a head and some feet, and these were actually some kind of bug walking around on the rock, in 39 degree water. I have no idea what they was. Anyway, during the dive, I was able to practice gas switched on the X, also had to disconnect my backup inflator for my BC and attach it to my dry suit. I didnt plan on diving this weekend, so I didnt fill up my argon bottle. It didnt run out toally, but when I pressed the button, I sure wasnt getting much. I figured it was good practice anyway. Also practiced valve shut downs at the safety stop. Water temp 39, air temp was 31 and windy. Wasnt the greatest dive ever, but it sure beats sitting at home.

Glad SOMEBODY's diving! Thanks for the report.

I'll be in the pool helping with classes the next couple weekends and have another weekend sales meeting, but will be in open water at the end of the month, thankfully--Mermet. I feel the need for Nitrogen!

I was going to go out there today, but I worked 14 hours yesterday and just did not feel like getting up and getting out there this morning. Plus I wanted to let my wife get out of the house for a while since she is pretty couped up in here with the twins...

Always better to be in the water somewhere than wishing you were while sitting on dry land...

If the caves are blown out, I might be interested in a trip down to Branson.

or go up for Ghost Ships Festival in Milwaukee...

A lot of us Northerners will be at Ghost Ships. I enjoy it a lot more than Our World.

I've heard that it is a good time, but is it really Fri and Sat and not Sat and Sun? That will probably kill it for me...
