I am planning a trip with my 28' pontoon down to Table rock on december 6th and 7th. Dark Wolf will be with me for sure and possibly one other diver from Joplin. That leaves 1 or 2 spots on the boat and it would be nice to have someone who has dove TR before with us to help give site details. We all dive doubles and Air (no voodoo gas for us) so if your interested get back with me.
As far as sites go we would like to hit the lost bridge at least once but other than that were open to just about anything. We also need to know the best place to get air (havent got my compressor yet) that isnt to far of a ride. My boat has a small engine and doesnt exactly fly over the water. Most of the dives will require some deco so a good long serface interval to go get air isnt a big deal. Will also need some place that can fill 40% O2 for deco gas.

I might be interested. I need to check my schedule tomorrow. I haven't dove the bridge, but know many other sites. Air is normally easy to get, but at that time of year, things might be harder.
I bet SLIM can answer about the air easy enough. theskull has been on the bridge. I certainly hope things clear up, the vis won't let you see much of it the way it is.
I'll check back in with my schedule avaliability tomorrow.

Air wil be hard to get that time of the year. Marina will be closed, there is a place Scuba Sports on the other end of Branson that should be open for air. Depending on the size motor you ahve it could be a long ride over to the KC area like 40 minutes or more.
SS does not have any EANx banked, they only PP fill tanks and I don't think they will do 40% or it will depend on their gas supply. You would be better off with 100% to deco with if you are diving air and plan a deco dive on air. Be better off to bring 2 sets and then early afternoon go to SS to get a set filled for the next day.
Saturday the 6th is the only day I could make it but if the RBD is clear, will mostlikly be there. Bubba knows of many of the great places aroundthe dam area to dive. Bet the lake will be clear that time you plan to be here. I will not say if I can make it or can't.

It sucks not having a bigger engine on my boat. That's definitely in the near future. Where is the dive shop in relation to the dam and bridge? I would really like to dive the bridge first then if there are some dive sites closer to the shop we could hit them. I only have 1 set of doubles do I'm limited to 1 deep dive before I need air.

The bridge is in Kimberling City, and is close to nothing that will be open that time of year.
The dam is in Branson, just a mile from the State Park Marina, and about a 15 minute drive from Scuba Sports. If you phone them before the weekend you will be in town, they will usually make arrangements to get you fills during the weekend--but they have very skimpy hours during the winter.
And I'll second SLIM's recommendation to deco on 100% O2. You'll have a better chance of getting fills for O2 as well.

I will be making wetsuit dives that weekend, as I must be in Kona, Hawaii. Sorry I can't join y' all on your adventure.
I have a small group of divers planning to do Table Rock the Jan 24-25 weekend if you're available then.

Geting better. Was in it Tuesday and had about 5-6 foot of vis. No real noticalbe thermocline but only got to 100 foot so stayed shallow. With the cool nights we are geting again, should help get the lake to finish turnning over. Might be back in Monday if I can't make it to RBD but wont know that until SUnday night.
