About 200 divers got to try out DUI suits this weekend at Mermet Springs, and were greeted by spectacular weather and excellent water conditions.
While helping get folks suited up in demo suits under the tent, I only witnessed 2 or 3 divers who had to wait for a suit to come back in to get the model or size they wanted to try. DUI had a truckload of suits in all the most popular sizes and models, and organized and led us volunteers to really get people through the line quickly and efficiently.
Supplemented by Glenn's always outstanding Mermet staff, the operation got divers in and out of the water with very little wait as well, and plenty of guides on hand for those whom were new to diving dry.
Tip for future participants: If you spend a day with your local shop getting drysuit certified before attending DOG Days, you get to suit up and just go do whatever dive you want with your buddy rather than be led around the shallower part of the quarry by a guide/instructor!
