Just back from a weekend houseboat trip from Bull Shoals Boat Dock.

We had warm sunny days with a light breeze, cool nights to sleep with the windows open, and great water conditions: water temp was 72 F all the way down to the thermocline at 40 ft. depth, where it only dropped to 62 F, with another couple degrees drop somewhere around 90-100 ft. to a low of 59 F. The visibility was only about 5 ft. for the first 25 ft., but that still left 15 ft. above the thermocline with a better vis of about 10-15 ft., and mostly 15-25 ft. visibility in the deeper water. The only negative was that with the lake level so high (up 40 ft.!) it was a little difficult to find spots to tie up on shore away from submerged trees, and then if you began your dive at shore you had to swim through those same trees to get to the easier terrain at a depth of about 30 ft.

We saw Blue Catfish, Bluegill, Bass, and Turtles, but no sightings of Walleye.
