I had the pleasure of working an AOW class at Mermet this weekend. Once the storms passed by, we was able to get in and enjoy the PPB dive, along with the Wreck dive, then wait for nightfall to do the night dive. Vis was about 10 foot in the shallows, and opened up to about 30 below 45 foot. Water temp was in the 80s down to 14 foot, then started dropping from there. After the class dives was finished on Sunday, I took one of the new AOW students on a 45 foot wall dive in the deep end. Spoonbill was out in strong force this weekend. They actually got in the way a few times on the nav course, but it is their home, so we cant get too mad at them. Always fun to see them anyway.
