Will be diving for fun at my favorite lake the 4th and 5th of July.
All comers welcome.
Going out on the State Park Marina dive boat the morning of the 4th, and at last check there were only 2 of us booked, so there is room for others.
4th of July fireworks are always prettiest just after a night dive at the dam!

Is the vis getting any better? I heard it was at 10 feet a while back.

10 feet will be a thrill to me after the year we've had so far!

Vis is getting better now that the water is goiing down al little bit each day. At duck Island we have been getting 10-12 and a few other places that are not for beginers about 15 or so. I bet that bye the time you get down here TS water wil be awsome if not almost back to normal vis.

I sure hope so. It will be great to get back to my home away from home! I know some of my favorite rock ledges near the dam have been missing me. LOL.

We almost have all of the parking lot back, It has not been any fun keeping up with cleaning as it goes down. A daily job.

Yeah, as long as the weather is good we are not going to head home until Sun afternoon. So if you are going to head down there, let me know. If we do not have anything else already planned I would be up for a dive or two.
My diving this year is a little more limited because my wife is pregnant, so that means no diving for her, which means less diving for me.:) Funny how that works... Maybe she will be tired of me by then....

Yes, we plan to be diving Saturday morning. Not sure yet whether it will be from shore or if we will buy a spot on the State Park Marina boat again. PM me for further details and contact info.

We had an excellent time this weekend! Great conditions at Table Rock are finally back, with a surface temp of 79 F that went all the way down to 24 ft. deep. The temp was 72 F from 24 ft. on down to 40 ft. And the temp was 64 F from 40 on down to 60 ft., where it dropped to 60 F. (We found out in the afternoon that the water temps from 80 ft. on down past 100 ft. were still only 55 F.)
Visibility was about 5 ft. for just the first 15 ft. of depth, but the vis was between 10 & 20 ft. from 20 ft. deep all the way down to 100 ft., and then it got a little murky below 110 ft.
Only disappointment was that we failed to run into SLIM even though we went out on the boat from his facility and got air fills there as well!
