I dove at Pearl Lake this past Sunday with a buddy. Pearl Lake has a couple of new amenities. They built a pavilion on the north beach along with a changing room. They also have a new changing room on the east beach. They are planning to build a pavilion on the east beach as well. The water level is up about three feet from last year. They installed all new buoys for all the featured attractions. The water temp down to 25 ft was 49 and the vis was outstanding at about 25ft. It seems they are finally starting to try and fix the place up.

They needed to upgrade the place. I like the diving there but they could use some tables that you could use to set up your gear. I guess I need to make a trip up there soon while the vis is still good. Last time I was there it was down to 5' or less.

OK, now I'm curious enough to go out there again- let me know if you are going anytime soon.

I will be up at the lake again on Saturday the 17th. The adv nitrox/deco class has added a lot more skills. I will be going over these with Jeff. Let me know if you want to go up there with us.

What a difference two weeks make. Vis was down to fifteen ft and in some places, due to student divers, it was about eight ft. Still enjoyed the nice sunny day at the lake diving with my best pal Tony.

Yup- it was a nice day out - and next weekend, the beach and bar will be open!

Wish I could have been there. Oh wait, we have 50+ feet of viz and a flat Lake Michigan. Couldn't have asked for a better day on the big lake.

Just got back from a dive out on the Mac. did a 60min dive to 77ft with Windy City Diving. Water temps were in the 40's. We had nice weather with 2-3fters

Yea, go head and rub it in. Some of us have to teach for a living and can't go off diving in Lake Michigan every weekend.
