Okay, I assume SLIM will be there for some part of it????

Anyone else???? If so, are you planing on diving solely at Moonshine Beach or is the dam in your plans?

Anyone heard if any of DUI's plans have changed?

Well buba, I dont think you will see me there. If you do, bad things have happened. I am on duty and must work it, you see Sunday night I am on the road to PB and then on the way down to Edd's for a week. So I don't have the time to take those off to do this. Had this planned way in advance. If you could make it down, you are welcomed. LOL

I appreciate the invite, but I have to be in DC all week with my military friends. I love to dive out of Edd's some more, but you all are going to be too high speed for me anyway. I'd feel bad each time you dove with me, feeling I was holding you back from an adventure.

Dont they charge to get into Moonshine beach? I drove through there once but never got out of the vehicle.

We just got 3 inches of rain since midnight. Per Corps, if TBL gets to 931 they willopen the gates even more. RIght now they are 1 foot open. They have not given a perdicition yet of Cresting and from what they got down there in AR, if Beaver comes up to its flood level they will open thoses gates even more also. I hat to be the one that says this, I think DUI is going ot have a problem no matter were it was this year Beaver ot TBL. This is setting records all over. We are to even have another round of rain later tonight and then they say a chance of SNOW showers Friday evening.

When I was at Marina this am, waterlooked the same, but it is on its way back up.

so the water is still half way up the stairs? That should make for much easier entry for the newbie dry suit divers this weekend.

I just did some checking, and with all the rain fall down there, it sounds like DUI is going to be working it out with the Corp of Engineers once they get in down there, to find the most optimal spot to host the event.

To make things worse - Valerie spoke with Faith Ortins from DUI - They WERE on American Airlines flights - They are working something out and hope to be in late tonight OR Sometime on Friday. Valerie and I hope to be there Friday afternoon.

Sorry I have on pictures of the area. Ben to busy. Lake is to crest Saturday about 9:30 but do not know if it is am or pm. At a level of a never ever seen heighth. 933.0 that is 21 feet above flood. Yes all 10 gates are open and they are discharing about 30,000 cfs alot of water but still rising. Taneycom has come up about 3 feet and might come up a few more. No the landing wil not be flooded (like the coprs could care about that) the lower observation section, some of the parking lots are flooded. What we have at the marina is amess. In a few hours it came up to higher then what it ws before.

This is a mess. I hate to say this but a big mess. Until the water gets way down SPM will not be able to sell air so think about that for the trip down.

Do you mean two (2) feet above flood? The ACE site states flood pool at 931. 933 is about twenty one (21) above what has been normal for a few years, which is in the 912 area.
