Took a little road trip to Mermet today, along with theskull. Its been a while since we have been in the water. I had some weighting issues Iwanted to address, and just dive. First dive, I would like to tell you where we went, but I dont have a clue. I was just following Bill, and when I thought we was coming up under the platforms, turned out to be we was at the nose of the 727. Like I said, its been a while. Bill shot a lift bag to celebrate, and we called it a dive. I got kind of cold on that dive, so I decided to switch thermals. I went with my thicker Andys undies, which seemed to do the trick on dive 2. We went out to the 727, and Bill ran a reel into the baggage compartment on the 727, and then we just toured around the shallows for a bit. I think we both got out of it what we wanted. Vis was better than I thought it was going to be, with all the rain. I would say 15 foot in the shallows, with it getting up to 20-25foot in the deeper water. Bill had to get back to teach a class tonight, so around 1:30, we headed back home.

Yes, it was a good dive trip. I did indeed get out of it what I wanted--which was diving deep(ish) and playing with my new reel. Thanks.

And, Surface temp was 44 F, at the thermocline it was 43 F, and bottom temp was 42 F. Fortunately, it was cold and windy.

Mine is in the local shop right now getting the vent serviced and a couple minor leaks repaired. It will be back in the water again next weekend. And as per my usual saying, the newly serviced gear will be put to the test on a deep dive, with students along. :)
