Can't wait to try it out in Curacao. It's an Ikelite Autoflash AF35 for use with point and shoot digital cameras. Don't you just love new toys? http://www.ikelite.com/af35/af35_single.jpg

Absoutely! It that the kind that does not have a cable, but is triggered by an electric eye that senses the camera's own flash?

Right, the camera's flash triggers the strobe.

I love messing with people on dives that have those (yes, I admit, I'm an ash hole sometimes). I good shot with a dive light will set off the strobe.

In that case, I'll have to be sure to keep it aimed right in your face.

All your pictures will be of the silt clouds you kicked up

Sorry for hijacking your thread...congrats on the new toy. I was hoping to have my new camera set up some time this year, but there is no way that is going to happen now. Oh well, always next year.
