A friend of mine has booked a charter to dive in the Straits of Mackinac. The dates are June 1-4, 2008. We're looking to fill up a few seats still, so check your calendars. The charter costs $400. We'll be diving off of Greg Such's (http://www.shipwreckadventures.com/) boat the Little Alexandria. We are planning on recreational dives.
I did this trip last year and we did several dives on the Cedarville, the Eber Ward, and the Barnum. This is a great oppurtunity to dive in Lake Michigan and Lake Huron on the same trip!!! The wrecks are in very good condition.
Mackinaw City (http://www.mackinawcity.com/) is a big tourist destination and there are plenty of things to do in the area for non-divers, including the imfamous Mackinaw City Pub Crawl  This is also a great place to eat whitefish- Great Lakes history never tasted so good!

Should be a good time. Especially with Tony, Brett, and Greg. A recreational trip would be cool. At least Greg won't have the time to throw pennies (or worse) while you're on deco. I would go, but I'll be doing Presque Isle the week before. I don't think the wife would allow it. :(

I would love to do this, but that is 3 weeks before I get a wife, so I know that wont happen. Besides, the close to the wedding date, I need to save money for the Hawaii trip anyway. Maybe another one will run later in the year.

Tony's pub crawl would make for a great Bachelor party!:2205: Then you could recover at the pink pony on the island the following day:D
This area is a great place for advance recreational diving. Big wrecks, moderate depth, and plenty of tourist stuff for the family to do if needed.

I just started a new job, so I've got make sure I can get the time off. Are those dates right, June 1-4 is Sunday-Wednesday.
And Greg, will you be warming the water? That is an experience not to be missed!

Yes the dates are correct. Drive up Saturday and spend a few days diving, then head home. It is really to far to make a mad dash weekend trip. Plus this will Maximize diving incase of a day of bad weather. I get to MI in Mid May and I am there until late June with different groups. Brett's been to Mack three times now and will take great care of his group. If you have a chance this is a great trip to go on.
