Well I thought that since there has not been much of posting the last few days and I was in the water I would let you all konw what it was like.

Got a call to do a salvage job for some cutomers that we work with many times and to help them get some parts that were lost from the last storm that went through this area several weeks ago.

To paint the picture I had the dive set up for first part of the afternoon. I figured that the water would be cool and the air temps not to bad. Well at 12:30 when I headed over to the place tha air temp was 69* and when I got out of the water and back in my Jeep turned on the radio and they said air temps were 29*. Did I forget to mention that the wind was blowing like a mother dog. The lake looked like it Coz did on our non divng day. There were like 2-3 foot swells. Water temp was much warmer. At 41* with a vis ov 20 or greater, I only got to a max depth of 22 feet and spent a total dive time of 15 minutes. Did I mention that Ialmost froze when I got out just incase I forgot, I thought I would mention it again.

Well, if anyone is thinking about comming down to TBL this weekend or soon, you will find that the water is clear. Justa little cool. Think about what the air temps will be like when you get out.

Jim, DDB I was thinking about you all when I got out. I know you all remember that weekend.

Good for you. I haven't been in OW since New Year's Day!! I have had cave diving plans a couple weekends, but they got blown out by heavy rains.

Good grief. Gots to get me to the water soon!

Sad to say, I have you beat. I have only logged 2 dives since my Florida cave trip the first week in December. And nothing logged in 08.

Wow, you guys make me feel like a diver. With my cave classes and my Coz trip I have a few dives already, almost as many as SLIM (but my cave class dives actually ended 1/1.) Of course this has been kind of unusually high and I certainly can't afford to keep up the cost!

I do remember that TRL weekend and it was pretty cold and we did two dives plus tried the next morning.

And, that was a non-dive day for you. For me and the girls (and Dick and Erin) we were out there rocking with it in Coz. Glad the wind layed down the following day.

My toes were hurting on the walk up to my Jeep and as I was getting outof my gear. I left my thermals on for the drive home. With all the wind, you would have just thought you were back on Coz for an extra day with colder temps is all.

wind on a 29* day would be a tropical breeze compared to the -16* with wind that we've been getting the last couple days.
