Hi everyone,
I sort of stubled upon this site by accident, but glad I did. I was certified about two years ago, have done some local diving, but have been busy with graduate school. Just finished this past December so my wife and I went on a cruise. I was able to dive Roatan, Grand Cayman, and Cozemel, so needless to stay my interest was rekindled. Im hoping to really get some diving in now that Im through with school. Just need to find some dive buddies. My sister and brother inlaw came with us on the cruise, he is certified, but does not own his own gear and is too busy with school at this time to dive. I really do not know anyone elese who dives so Im hoping this forum can help me out. Midwest Scuba has a explore midwest diving program, so Ill proabably be checking that out. Just looking for any chance to get wet. Glad I found the site.

Welcome to the board Rob.

I'm sure you'll have plenty of opportunities to meet and dive with some of us this summer.

Welcome Rob.

I just replied to your PM on the other board as well, about the Discover Midwest Diving. Hope to see you around.

Welcome. Glad you found this site; we need some more action/members. Are you strictly a warm-water diver?? There's some pretty good cold water diving right now. Dive in here and make yourself at home. steve

Steve,
I like diving here in the midwest. I always liked to fish the Army Corp of Eng Impoundments, and always wondered what was under all of that water before the area was flooded. Cold does not bother me too much, I have dove at Bonne Terre Mine here in Missouri, temp was about 57. I have always wanted to fish Dale Hollow Lake, now that Im trying to get back into diving after finishing school, maybe Ill make it down there for some fishing and diving. Do you know anything about the diving at Dale Hollow. I really need to get my wife certified. She took a discovery scuba lesson on our recent trip at Roatan. Thats her first time in the water with 100 plus viz and 80 degree temps. Somehow I think she will be a little bit reluctant to dive in a freshwater lake here in Missouri.
