It's not that bad; spread your pruchases over a period of time and it won't hurt so bad. Be a savvy shopper. Consider other sources than your local shop. Consider buying used (on select items). I made some great buys on Ebay (shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh).

Don't huff glue before the dive.
