Well, we just got back from our weekend at TRL getting our OW certification. It was a blast! I can't wait to do more diving.
We took our class at Scuba sports in Branson, MO. Our trainers were Montee and I belive the other ones name was Josh. They were great and verry helpful with all of our questions.
We got in some good dives next to the dam on Table Rock, The first day we got to get in the water after the pool traning was saturday evening. When we got to the spot beside the damn, there were prob close to 50 divers off the shore getting some sort of traning. Needless to say the water vis was next to horriable. 3ft at the max.
We went back to the same spot sunday morning to get finished up with some traning skills and the water was much better after settling down over night. Vis was somewhere between 5-8ft.
Josh took us down to the thermocline at about 34ft. That was really neat to be able to stick your hand into water that was mabey 20 degrees cooler then the water 6" above it.
I had a great time learing how to dive, and can't wait to get more diving in. I would of stayed under water all day if our tanks wouldnt of ran low on us.
So that was my experience getting my OW certification. Im really thankful we had good trainers and I would recomend them to anyone who wants to get thier certification around that area.
