with all this rain, and cooler nights, has the water temp started to drop yet? I'm trying to get my trimix dives scheduled with ed, and would like to do it before we are doing our deco in 44 degree water top to bottom.

It will be some time before the water temps get that cold on the top layer. We have had some cool nights but still not enough to make that much water cool down that much. I have no idea what the water is like with all the rian but Tuesdy I have to do some work at the marina and will check it out and give what the temp is and what vis is. Until then, you are like me, just stuck wondering.

Well, I did not get in the water today and I did not sleep at a Holiday Inn so I might or I might not know what I am saying today. LOL

Temp at 15 foot thermomiter says 84*
Walking down the walkway and looing were it is 10 foot in depth under the dock, could see the bottem plane as day. It was cloudy out so might be better with the sun out.

Hope this is some help to you all. just remember it in this area that I can report the condditons and not from the Dam or from the KC area.

Hey guys I was wondering I read an article that says somewhere under Table Rock Lake, there is a town @ about 100'. It says you can swim down main street up to the doors of a church or something. Anyone been there? Is it true?

I believe you are thinking of Lake Norfolk. Table Rock Lake, when it was built, did flood the town of Oasis, but I dont think anybody has ever seen the town again since then.

I think he is refering to an article that dive training magazine (dtm) carries. It is definitely a Table Rock Reference. The article even quotes Diver Dick (about other lake features, but not about the town). However, I have never talked to anyone that has actually dove or seen this place and I have talked with a few Table Rock divers.

I think SLIM might have remarked on this once. I think as a "legend".

I know a guy, who knows a guy that met a pirate who that had a map tattooed on his back. Sounds interesting, no? Although I don't think that it would be a good meet up dive. I don't mind driving to dive, but I don't know my schedule until after it happens, so go ahead and plan it. I'll try to make it.

I hear that all the time. Out of doing about 50 or so dives more on the plus side, I have not found the town Oasis. I have found a piller to the bridge that went across long creek. I have done a wide amount of research on this and evevn talked to a Corps person that worked at moving and burning stuff there when they moved the town. I don't think it is there. All I hear is I got a buddy that knows a buddy that has been there. Funny how I have not found it and it should be in about 150 feet of water when lake is at power pool wich is 915.0 feet above sea level.

Will any of this help out??????

If you like I can take you through the church? YOu can be all geared up and I will just walk. Considering it is about 5 miles from the place it was raised from. If you go south of Hollister on HWY 65 about 2-3 miles and look to the left or the East you will see the church.
