Hey Duane...awesome article in the latest issue. I knew there was some extremists in the DIR world, but didnt realize it was as "relaxed" as you make it sound. Not relaxed as in not safety orientated, but in their approach and mind set. Great read, and thanks for the info.

You are correct, Captain Dale had a great article as well. I guess I get spoiled reading his fine work every month. I am surprised this mag doesnt get more publicity. It has a lot of good info in it, for all levels of diving. Plus the price is right.

Not relaxed as in not safety orientated, but in their approach and mind set. Great read, and thanks for the info.I dove with a bunch of DIR guys when I went to Seattle a couple of years ago. Great bunch. We had a lot of fun and they even complemented me on my setup. They especially liked the redundancy and convenience of my AI and SPG setup.

We even had decompression pills, aka donuts on the boat between dives. Doesn't get any better than that. lol

Glad everyone liked the article. I just wanted to put something out there to dispell the rumors that run amuck. There is much more to DIR than what I scribbled. Maybe I'll try to write something more. I obviously won't be quiting my day job for a career in journalism.

I would definitely be interested in reading more. You could be like the scuba version of Myth Busters.

Yes the articles were very nice. I can not wait till next month
