Thanks for the invite, but I dont know if I can watch you do that again. When you launch the lift bag, it turns into underwater bondage, and thats not my game.

Well I caught up with Russian Navy Ken today- we did one dive with a DMC who wanted to swim around to get the lay of the land. I lead a little tour of the shallow side so that the he could see some of the stuff on the map.

The vis varied from 5' to 10' and at one point, I turned around to make sure everyone was still there, but Ken was missing. I was half tempted to keep on diving with the DMC, but too many people saw Ken start the dive with us. :D I did go back to look because I kept hearing Stan and Kyle from Southpark- "Oh my God, you killed Kenny! You basturds!" Now the vis wasn't great, but I could see some waves on the surface, so I headed to where the waves were coming from, and there was Ken! We continued the dive and the vis did improve further west. After that, it was a pleasant, uneventful dive.

I didn't see terrapinKen, but I did see his truck! There's always Sunday.

fer sure- the vis was pretty spotty in some places, and other places it was wide open (15'!) We missed you today- I guessed you must have closed out all the Kankakee bars and clubs and instintively went home before the sun came up. ;) I had to dive with Dean and his single tank :D although we managed to get an hour long tour of the quarry.

I asked Tina to tell you that the weather warned me off and (this is the truth) the beautiful Motel 6 had two motorcycle gangs. The one on my side of the building started partying early and was still at it when I answered nature's call at 4 :eek:. They were packing to leave at 5:30 when I got up. Not much sleep for anyone.

Yeah, the weather was kinda spotty all day- started cool and rainy, and by the time I left, it was sunny and too hot to be in the drysuit.

I still have your viewfinder for your camera, I'll bring it to the MWD drunken barn party, unless you need it sooner.

That Motel 6 seems to have a lot of biker activity. They was doing the same thing when I was up there last month. I think have stayed at the Motel 6 up there for the last time.

Weather wasn't the greatest on the lake today. Poured hard early on. Had 3-5 footers, mostly 4-5s. I was able to make one dive and spent the rest of the time creating a chum slick for the fishies. :)

terrapinKen- sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you today. We did a short surface interval to try to get the second dive in before any thunderstorms. By the time I got a chance to stalk your truck, it was gone.

I am sorry I missed everyone. I shall return!!! I was very busy Saturday with 9 OW students. By the way, it was not my group stirring it up :-} I was lucky and had 9 for 9 being very good. This might have been the best group I have ever worked with. I made sure we got off the platforms and headed for the other end (Golf Ball Rock area) of the quarry for some nice 30-40 minute dives. The viz was closer to 15 feet and the fish action was more interesting. I was attacked by a saber toothed bluegill at least 10 times. I had to cover a mole or lose it. This should be interesting when I go to the doctor and request a mole removal due to it being "fish bait". Sunday - We did dive 4 and bailed for Cracker Barrel. Everyone had a great time. Viz was bad for Haigh, but better than I am used to. Ken

The guy I was diving with got enveloped by a cloud of bluegills, they seemed to come out of nowhere. One gave him a pretty painful bite on the ear.
