Well folks, here's how things went for me yesterday. First by the statement of "yesterday" it should give you an idea of where this report is going.

I'd like to begin by saying thanks to Ken for his patience while I tried and failed to get my rig configured correctly.

While I had my own wings (or as Ken called them blimp), I had rental tanks, so I could not adjust the bands.

My issues were a severe nose down trim and a problem with going turtle to the right.

I figured out last night that the turtle to the right might have been my HID pulling me over, but I also tend to think the wing helped it a bit. I had no counter weight for the light. I'm not sure it would have mattered anyway, but who knows.

The wing Abyss dual bladder 90# was far to large for me. Anyone want one? It's only got 2 freshwater dives on it. I'm selling it for $150.00. It's a great wing, just to big for me to handle.

I never made it off the 20ft platform as I had planned until I had everything sorted out. I'm no dummy. Get things right first, then go play.

Another factor came into play, I was only able to make 1.5 trips from the table to water and back before my left knee let me know it had had enough of that stuff.

So, I'm going to try side mount next. In fact, Dive Rite is going to demo Tech gear, side mount and their new rebreather at Mermet on 8/11. I'll be there with a smile on just to try out the side mount and rebreather.

Ken managed to get in one fun dive yesterday and when I left today he was diving with one of the staff.
