I just talked to Glen and it seems some low life scumbags decided to break the glass out of the phone booth, tear cables off of the Cessna to make it unsafe and rip the top off the little sub by the rail car. If anyone hears any info about this, Glen has asked that they email him glen@mermetsprings.com , call his cell 618-771-6990 or call the quarry
618-527-3483. I would like to find out who has done this and make an example of them. Glen and his staff do nothing but good for us. I take this personal as if someone has assaulted a family member. Ken

That just sucks. I'm going there this weekend, I'll see if Glen needs some help fixing up some things while I'm there.

Quite a crime wave. And during such a busy weekend. Sure hope someone gets wind of the culprits and turns them in.

I was up there today. Everything is pretty well squared away except the glass from the phone booth. Glen did seem a bit discouraged that someone would tear stuff up on purpose.

I just returned from Mermet, and like Steve says, the mess is mostly cleaned up. Staff member Mike (not sure of his last name) was kind enough to take me on a tour of the damage. The lines to the Cessna have been spliced, glass around the phone booth picked up, and I'm sure some other stuff. Remaining to be done is fixing the hood on the mini-sub and the chrome on the motorcycle. There is probably some more but I didn't see it.

Glen asks that anybody who hears anything let him know, he says that he is "on their trail". He knows the time frame it happened in and has his cameras all over the place and remember, he is a cop. The outpouring of support from his friends, customers, and fellow shop owners has been outstanding.

And I would have to say that Glen has moved beyond discouaged and onto really pissed!
