Hi all!
My wife and I were down at Haigh this past weekend and talked to someone who is putting in a "new" shipwreck. This new feature is a replica of an ancient Mediteranean cargo shipwreck. they still have to put in the ballast stones, but there are Amphora, stone anchors, and ancient galley in place. This new feature is located in 21-26 ft near the beach entrance just a bit south, towards the west diving platform.
Enjoy!!

I saw part of it a few weeks ago- it was replica plates and artifacts in a grid to teach people how to record and document archeological data. It sounds like it was a work in progress and they added a few more pieces.

That sounds very cool. Wreck diving is a kind of archeology when you think about it, even if you didn't discover the wreck.
