Just got back from TBL. I got in an awesome night dive Friday night. Vis really opened up to 30-40, below 60 foot. The wall at the dam was alive with life Friday night. I have never seen so many crawfish before. Pretty good size bass, too. Saturday, I got in to deep dives, 153 foot and 140 foot. Enjoyed dinner with friends at Biggie Smalls, and then returned for another night dive. Got up early to do a REAL early morning deep dive this moring. However, when we got to the dam, my ear was really bugging me, by buddy forgot to charge his light, and was a litte sore from the previous day. I told him we had too many things working against us, lets call it a day. He agreed, so he went back to his room, and I came home.
Vis was maybe 10-15 foot in the shallows, opening up as you went deeper. I really only felt 2 thermoclines, the first at 22 foot, and the other somewhere around 35-40 foot. Registered 42 degrees at 150 foot, and lower 80s on the surface.
